Add Google reCAPTCHA Spam Protection To Divi Contact Form
Block unwanted form submissions that spam your divi website.
The Divi Form Builder With Material Design plugin integrates Google reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 spam protection for your divi forms.
Automated spam bots can overwhelm your website with fake form submissions, wasting your time and cluttering your inbox. CAPTCHA technology acts as a security guard to solve this problem.
CAPTCHA
A CAPTCHA is simply a security test designed to distinguish between human visitors and automated bots. Because these tests require human reasoning, bots struggle to bypass them.
Google reCAPTCHA
Early versions of this technology forced users to squint at distorted text and type out numbers. This process frustrated visitors, slowed them down, and ultimately hurt form conversion rates.
Modern solutions like Google reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 eliminate this friction, keeping your site secure without annoying your potential clients.
How Google’s reCAPTCHA (v2 & v3) Work
- reCAPTCHA v2 typically displays a simple “I’m not a robot” checkbox for users to click.
- reCAPTCHA v3 works entirely in the background without requiring the user to click or solve anything.
- If Google detects suspicious behavior, it may present an additional visual puzzle just to be safe.
- When a user hits submit, Google instantly analyzes the interaction to seamlessly approve legitimate entries and block spam attempts.
In this article we’ll show you how to create a reCAPTCHA website profile on Google and how to integrate it with your Divi forms.
